What Make Local Friends provides
Make Local Friends is a connection and information platform. It may show local recommendations, community posts and profiles for local friends or other providers. Unless a page expressly says otherwise, Make Local Friends is not a travel agency, tour operator, hotel, transport provider, payment processor or insurer. We do not guarantee that a listing, person, price, availability, translation or recommendation is accurate or suitable for you.
Accounts and user responsibility
- Provide information that is accurate enough for the feature you use and keep your sign-in code private.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for checking identity, price, availability, safety and legal requirements independently.
- Do not impersonate another person, scrape the service, bypass access controls, upload malware, send spam or use the platform for fraud, harassment, sexual exploitation, trafficking, drugs, weapons or other illegal activity.
Connections, payments and safety
Any meeting, booking, payment or offline arrangement is between the people or businesses involved unless a separate written service agreement says otherwise. Meet in public, protect your documents and never send money to an unfamiliar account solely because of a platform message. Report suspicious content or threats through the available reporting tools or by email.
User content
You keep ownership of content you submit, but grant Make Local Friends a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, translate, moderate and operate that content for the service. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use or sensitive information about another person. We may remove content that violates these terms, safety requirements or applicable law.
Third-party services and availability
Authentication, storage, email, spam prevention, maps, translations and linked websites may be provided by third parties. Their outages and terms may affect the service. We may change, suspend or discontinue a feature, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular business result.
Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”. Make Local Friends is not responsible for independent user conduct, offline meetings, third-party content, inaccurate listings, travel disruption or loss caused by information you chose not to verify. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Suspension, termination and changes
We may suspend or close an account when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or serious breaches. Sections that should survive termination, including user-content permissions, disclaimers and dispute-related provisions, remain effective. We may update these terms by publishing a new effective date.
